A well-established California litigation firm with a long-standing reputation and deeply rooted client relationships is seeking a Litigation Associate with 2+ years of experience to join its growing team. Medical malpractice or healthcare-related litigation experience is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities:

• Manage all phases of litigation from inception through resolution.
• Develop case strategy and assist with defense planning.
• Draft and respond to written discovery.
• Prepare and argue motions.
• Take and defend depositions.
• Attend court appearances, mediations, and settlement conferences.
• Assist with trial preparation and trial support.
• Collaborate closely with partners and clients on complex litigation matters.

Qualifications:

• J.D. from an accredited law school and active California Bar membership.
• 2+ years of civil litigation experience.
• Medical malpractice, healthcare, or professional liability defense experience is a plus.
• Excellent legal research, writing, and advocacy skills.
• Strong organizational abilities and the capacity to manage multiple matters in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
